The Law Offices of Golden Rothschild Spagnola Lundell Boylan & Garubo,
P.C., with offices located in Bridgewater and Manhattan, seek to hire 2
insurance defense litigation attorneys.
The Firm seeks one candidate with 3-5 years insurance defense
experience in the defense of general liability and construction defect
claims. The second candidate sought is an entry level position
with 0-2 years experience. Candidates must be licensed in NJ, with
preference for candidates licensed in both NJ and NY. Both
candidates will be working in a supporting role to the senior attorneys
in the performance of all legal work necessary in the handling of case,
inclusive of court appearances, depositions, interaction with experts
and fact witnesses. The candidates should be able to work
independently and possess good verbal and written communication,
negotiation and analytical skills along with the ability to exercise

Job Summary
The General Claims Legal Department is seeking an attorney with between
3 and 7 years of experience in handling New Jersey general insurance
defense work, principally related to auto accident and premises
liability issues.
Job Responsibilities
 | Supervise the handling by General Claims staff of insurance defense
litigation. |
 | Develop and implement litigation strategy with outside defense
counsel. |
 | Assist General Claims staff with coverage and other miscellaneous
claims questions, regulatory complaints, fraud investigations, etc. |
 | Prepare summaries for General Claims staff of legal developments;
e.g., case law, statutory and regulatory updates. |
Job Requirements
 | Familiarity with coverage and fraud-related issues is a plus.

 | Detail-oriented, strong interpersonal, excellent writing and
communication skills. |
 | Some trial and arbitration experience is preferred and a
judicial clerkship is beneficial. |

Associate Litigation Attorney- Law Offices of Charles Peter Hopkins,
II; Red Bank, NJ
Responsible for all aspects of a defense litigation case load of
moderate complexity. Supports and works with other members of the firm,
as necessary, in the defense of cases handled by the firm. Has ongoing
relationship and accountability for the department or specialty being
served. Work assignments consist of legal tasks involving problems of
moderate complexity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Primarily acts in a supporting role to the more senior attorneys
and to carry a small case load in the defense of a variety of negligence
defense cases. Responsible for handling matters as assigned. Responsible
for all aspects of the defense of litigation. Reports to claims
divisions and clients on all developments in the case as required by the
claims department. May supervise, train, or mentor paralegals or other
supporting attorneys.
 | Tries cases. Makes all court appearances, engages in trial
preparation, motions, discovery and negotiations. |
 | Performs all legal work as necessary on personal case load and
supports other attorneys as assigned. |
 | Provides research, legal analysis, factual information, counsel
and guidance on legal questions or issues. Keeps current with legal
developments. |
 | Prepares position papers on various legal issues and
interpretation of contractual provisions. |
 | Works independently in resolving legal cases with minimal
supervision. |
 | Provides research, legal analysis, factual information, counsel
and guidance on legal questions or issues. |
 | Make appearances in court for motions and trials, at
depositions, at mediations and arbitrations on behalf of insured's
of CNA. This will involve travel throughout the Central and Southern
portion of New Jersey. |
Reporting Relationship: Director or above
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and procedures
of litigation management within an insurance organization.
- Good verbal and written communication, negotiation and
presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation, consultative and facilitation skills with
the ability to effectively interact with all internal and external
business partners,
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, and to work with and
maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and senior level
skill in managing ambiguous situations and issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related
software.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree with JD, and admission to the bar of New
Jersey.
- Background in medicine or Architects & Engineering issues a
plus.
